CleanCapital has extended corporate investment in Alaska-based solar developer Renewable IPP and committed to funding the development and construction of the 8.5 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Houston, Alaska, USA.
The solar PV project will supply clean energy to the Matanuska Electric Association (MEA) once operational. CleanCapital will provide financing for project construction and will serve as the long-term owner-operator of the site once the solar PV facility is commissioned by 2023. CleanCapital’s investment in Renewable IPP will also accelerate the development of future project pipelines in Alaska.
CleanCapital engaged Orrick as Buyer’s counsel on this transaction. Renewable IPP was represented by Davis Wright Tremaine.
