Isagen SA has announced a strategic partnership with Atlas Renewable Energy. The collaboration aims to jointly develop 1,000 MW worth of solar projects in Colombia.
The details of the partnership are currently limited, but Isagen has stated that the primary objective of this alliance is to develop, build, and operate these solar projects over the next few years, by leveraging Isagen's expertise in power generation and retail services in Colombia, combined with Atlas Renewable Energy's proficiency as a renewable energy developer in Latin America.
With approximately 3,000 MW of installed capacity, primarily in hydro energy, Isagen is known for its clean and sustainable energy solutions. Meanwhile, Atlas Renewable Energy currently has over 4,400 MW of contracted projects in the region.
