HDF Energy and TRIPATRA have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to collaborate on the development of HyPower hydrogen-to-power projects in Indonesia. The objective of this partnership is to contribute to the decarbonization of the chemical industry sector in the country.

PT HDF Energy Indonesia, the Indonesian subsidiary of hydrogen power plant pioneer HDF Energy, will bring its expertise in developing multi-megawatt hydrogen power plants to the partnership. TRIPATRA, a leading Indonesian engineering-based solutions provider in the energy and downstream sectors, will provide its extensive experience as an engineering company in the energy and petrochemical sectors. The two companies have joined forces to examine new market opportunities and collaborate to implement HyPower plants in Indonesia.

The Indonesian chemical sector has grown rapidly in recent years due to the country's wealth of natural resources and strong demand from industrialists. This presents an opportunity for domestic chemical players to expand their market while contributing to the government's goal of decarbonizing the industrial sector. The country plans to launch more than 20 new chemical projects by 2025.
