Agreement signed for 210 MW Solar PV complex in Indonesia

The PT PLN (Persero) has announced that it has signed an agreement with Amazon for the development of solar PV projects to be located in Bali and Java on the Java-Madura-Bali grid, Indonesia.

The project involves the construction of four solar PV facilities with a combined capacity of 210 MW. Under the agreement, Amazon will purchase the renewable energy generated by these new renewable energy projects to power its operations in Indonesia.

Darmawan Prasodjo, President Director of PT PLN (Persero), said: "The project is a part of the '2021-2030' Electricity Supply Business Plan (RUPTL). With this deal, Indonesia will achieve its objective of having 23% renewable energy in its energy mix by 2025."
