Fred. Olsen Renewables has announced that it will no longer be pursuing the development of the 84 MW Glenfiddich Wind Farm project, located approximately 5km south of Dufftown, Scotland.

Since 2021, the company had been engaging with the local community to discuss the potential of the project, which would have included up to 11 turbines and battery storage. After conducting extensive environmental and technical assessments, Fred. Olsen Renewables has determined that the Glenfiddich site is not suitable for a wind farm and has decided to abandon the project.

The company is appreciative of the time and effort that stakeholders and community members have spent on the project.
