The initial transportation of components for the 960 MW He Dreiht offshore wind farm has commenced at Buss Terminal Eemshaven BV in the Netherlands.

EnBW has entrusted Heerema Marine Contractors with leading the project's construction. The task of loading the first components and transporting them to the construction site falls to Sarens and the team at Buss Terminal Eemshaven. The plan is to install 64 turbines by the end of 2025, positioning them approximately 90 km northwest of the island of Borkum and 110 km west of Helgoland, with connections to the grid. It features V236-15.0 MW machines where one turbine of this type is capable of producing 80 GWh per year which is enough to power around 20,000 European households.

This wind farm is notably one of the first in its kind to be constructed without state funding, resulting in an instant doubling of EnBW's portfolio in the sector to 1,952MW, according to the developer.
