SeaRenergy was chosen to provide the Marine Coordination Service for EnBW’s He Dreiht project during the construction phase of the wind farm in Germany. The services have been kicked off on December 01, 2023 to ensure a smooth operational commencement in the first quarter of 2024.
The preparatory phase will include preliminary works such as document preparation and updates, hardware and software setup, and personnel training. The Marine Coordination Service is scheduled to commence in April 2024 and is to continue through December 2025. During this period, SeaRenergy’s primary responsibilities will involve monitoring and coordinating ship movements and facilitating communication with vessels at the offshore construction site.
The 960 MW offshore wind farm is located about 90 km (55.92 miles) northwest of Borkum Island. It features 64 V236-15.0 MW machines where one turbine of this type is capable of producing 80 GWh per year which is enough to power around 20,000 European households.
