ERG Spa has completed the construction and started the commercial operation of its 42 MW Monreale Partinico wind project located in Sicily, Italy.
The park now has 10 4.2-MW Vestas V132 turbines with a total installed power of 42 MW (compared to the previous 19 turbines for a total of 16 MW) and an estimated annual production of 94 GWh (compared to the previous 27 GWh).
ERG has signed a 12-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Luxottica during Q1 of 2023 for the supply of about 900 GWh of clean energy for 2023-2024, representing up to 75% of the electricity produced by the plant.
