Engie buys 6 GW of US solar and battery storage projects

Engie has acquired from Belltown Power a 6 GW portfolio of 33 early to late-stage renewable energy projects located in different states across North America.

The portfolio consists of approximately 2.7 GW of solar photovoltaic projects,750 MW of paired energy storage, and 2.6 GW of stand-alone battery storage facilities. The projects span the territories of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT), PJM, Midcontinent Independent System Operator (MISO), and Western Electricity Coordinating Council (WECC).

As of June 2022, ENGIE's installed renewable capacity in the United States is 3.9 GW.
