PacifiCorp and rPlus Energies have entered into a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) for the Green River Energy Center, a 400 MWac solar PV complex integrated with a 200 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) in Emery County, Utah, USA.
Sundt Construction has been selected by rPlus Energies to provide engineering, procurement, and construction services for the combined solar and storage facilities.
Construction is anticipated to begin in early 2023. Green River Energy Center represents an investment of approximately US$750 million in Utah's economy and will give Emery County substantial tax benefits.
