National Grid Renewables has started the construction at its Copperhead Solar & Storage Project, a 150 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) farm and 100 MWh storage project in Falls County, Texas, USA. The company also announced that The Hershey Company has signed a 140 MW Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the project.
Copperhead will utilize Series 6 thin film solar modules from First Solar, Inc., as well as a 100 MWh Fluence Gridstack battery energy storage system from Fluence Energy, Inc.
The Industrial Company (TIC) is responsible for its construction.
