Brazilian electric regulatory agency Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (ANEEL) has allowed the start of commercial operation of the two solar projects that are part of the 608 MW Sao Goncalo solar photovoltaic (PV) complex in Piaui state.
Enel Green Power SpA will operate the 50 MW UFV Sao Goncalo 5 park and 45.68 MW UFV Sao Goncalo 6 solar projects installed in the city of Sao Goncalo do Gurgueia.
Once fully operational, the Sao Goncalo solar complex can generate up to 1,500 GWh of energy per year.
