Enel Green Power Chile has partnered with Spanish photovoltaic manufacturer IM2 Solar in the development of a 32.4 MWp of small-scale solar farms in Chile.
The solar projects are a part of their initial portfolio of small-scale distributed generation plans. Of the 11 projects included in the bundle, two 10-MWp projects are in the permitting phases, five projects totaling 32.4 MWp are now under construction, and four solar farms have already been linked.
Once all of the solar plants are connected, they will be capable of supplying power for more than 72,000 homes annually, which will benefit around 312,000 people and avoid more than 1,760,000 tons of CO2 emissions during the life cycle of the plants.
