X-ELIO is planning to build its first battery energy storage project (BESS) to support the energy production of its 58 MW Uribe Solar photovoltaic plant in the Antofagasta region, Chile.
The project includes a 5 MWh fully-integrated lithium-ion Energy Storage System from Saft, a TotalEnergies subsidiary, as well as two Intensium Max High Energy containers, and power conversion and medium voltage transformer systems.
The battery system will be installed in Q2 2023 and will be operational the following quarter.
