The renewables unit of Endesa, Enel Green Power Espana (EGPE), has started the operation of its 20 MW Ampliacion Los Llanos wind project in Burgos, Spain.
The facility consists of ten 2-MW turbines installed in the municipalities of Cogollos and Hontoria de la Cantera. It can generate up to 78 GWh per year and offsets about 54,000 tons of CO2 emissions.
EGPE has invested around EUR23 million (US$25.5 million) in the project.
