Portuguese renewable energy company EDP Renovaveis SA, through its unit EDP Renovaveis Brasil SA, has signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) for the 120 MW portion of its 254 MW Novo Oriente solar photovoltaic (PV) project located in the state of Sao Paulo, Brazil.
The solar plant is expected to start its operation by 2024. EDPR and EDP Energias do Brasil SA contribute 50/50 investment to realize the project.
The name of the power purchaser was not disclosed.
