EDP Renewables North America has signed a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) with Meta for electricity generated from the 250 MW Cypress Knee Solar project in Chicot County, Arkansas, USA.
The agreement represents Meta’s third renewable energy partnership with EDP Renewables North America, bringing the total contracted clean energy capacity between the two companies to 545 MW. The Cypress Knee Solar project, set to be developed in Chicot County, Arkansas, is expected to enhance the regional power grid by introducing additional solar generation, while also advancing Meta’s goal of matching 100% of its yearly electricity use with clean, renewable energy. The project is currently in development and is slated for completion by 2028.
