Meta and Zelestra signed a long-term Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for the 180 MWdc (140 MWac) Palmera Solar Plant in Freestone County, Texas, United States.

Zelestra has recently commenced construction of the 176 MWdc Skull Creek Solar Plant in Anderson County, Texas, and the 200 MWdc Reclamation Solar Project in Gibson County, Indiana, both secured through long-term Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) with Meta. These developments complement the 81 MWdc Jasper County Solar Project in Indiana, which has already achieved full commercial operation and represents the first completed project under the Zelestra–Meta partnership. The Palmera Solar Plant will further contribute to Meta’s objective of expanding renewable energy generation while supporting its commitment to operate on 100% clean energy. With the addition of Palmera, Zelestra and Meta have established PPAs covering nearly 1.4 GWdc of solar capacity across eight projects in the United States, all of which are scheduled to be fully operational by 2028.

The projects currently under construction are expected to create significant economic and environmental value for their host communities. During peak construction, the Skull Creek Solar Plant in Anderson County, Texas, is projected to create around 200 jobs and contribute approximately US$8.2 million to the local economy. The facility will be equipped with nearly 400,000 bifacial solar modules, with McCarthy Building Companies serving as the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor.

Similarly, the Reclamation Solar Project in Gibson County, Indiana, is anticipated to support about 200 jobs at peak construction. Developed on land previously used for coal mining, the project will incorporate approximately 325,000 domestically manufactured bifacial solar modules. In addition to renewable energy generation, the development is expected to promote land rehabilitation through soil restoration, the establishment of native vegetation, and improvements to local biodiversity. Qcells USA Corp. has been selected to provide both the solar modules and EPC services for the project.
