Zelestra has secured US$181 million in green project financing for its 176 MW Skull Creek solar project in Anderson County, Texas, USA. The facility was arranged with Natixis Corporate and Investment Banking (Natixis CIB).
The utility-scale solar power plant in Texas is currently under a long-term power purchase agreement (PPA) between Zelestra and Meta. The broader collaboration also forms part of a series of renewable energy deals between the two companies—totaling around 1.2 GWdc across seven U.S. solar projects.
Skull Creek is currently under construction and is expected to come online by the end of 2027. Construction will support approximately 200 jobs and generate an estimated US$8.2 mn in local economic impact for Anderson County.
Zelestra continues to expand its US renewable energy platform with multi-technology solutions designed to meet the growing energy needs of hyperscalers and corporate customers. Headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, the company is developing a pipeline of approximately 16 GW across key US markets.
