EDF Group and Luminous Energy have announced plans for the development of Springwell Solar Farm, a huge solar-plus-storage project in Lincolnshire, East Midlands, England. Its potential capacity was not yet disclosed.
The photovoltaic (PV) system is anticipated to produce enough electricity per year for more than 180,000 houses.
Beginning on January 24, the partners will undergo a six-week consultation on the preliminary plans, with the feedback informing the development process. As the project exceeds 50 MW, a development consent order from the relevant Secretary of State is required.
