Vantage RE Ltd. and BELECTRIC have entered into an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) agreement for the building and commissioning of 102 megawatts (MW) of solar projects in the UK. The project includes an option to install 65 MW of co-located battery energy storage systems (BESS).
The solar farms are anticipated to begin commercial operation (COD) in Q1 of 2024. They are capable of generating enough electricity to provide over 37,000 households and offset annual carbon dioxide emissions by over 46,750 tonnes.
The farm will generate consistent long-term earnings under a 15-year contract-for-difference (CfD) subsidy program approved in July 2022. The farm will be constructed on two sites.
