Verisk divests Wood Mackenzie to Veritas

Verisk Analytics Inc. has reached an agreement to sell Wood Mackenzie to Veritas Capital for US$3.1 billion, as Verisk seeks to consolidate its operations and concentrate on insurance.

Wood Mackenzie is a global research and consulting firm that provides data, written analysis, and consultancy advice to the energy, chemicals, renewables, metals, and mining industries.

The acquisition, which is slated to finalize in Q1 of 2023, includes a contingent payment of up to US$200 million for Verisk in the future.
