EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg AG, a German energy company, has agreed to sell its Swedish renewable energy platform, EnBW Sverige AB, to Danish renewable energy company Eurowind Energy A/S. The transaction covers EnBW’s wind power and solar operations in Sweden and is part of EnBW’s broader strategy to focus its activities on its strategic core markets.

The transaction primarily includes onshore wind farms with a combined capacity of around 120 MW, together with a significant pipeline of renewable energy projects under development. The Swedish platform also includes renewable energy generation, project development and operations and maintenance activities, giving Eurowind an established operating base in Sweden rather than simply a portfolio of individual assets.

For EnBW, the sale represents a withdrawal from the development and operation of wind and solar projects in the Nordic markets. The company is reallocating capital and management resources toward its core markets, particularly Germany, where it plans to expand renewable generation and invest in energy infrastructure, including electricity grids and other infrastructure supporting the energy transition.
