Vencom Fulmar has partnered with ASKO Fornybar to deliver the 40 MW Svanabyn wind farm in Dorotea municipality, Sweden.
The project will feature six turbines with an estimated annual production of 150 GWh, equivalent to the electricity needs of about 26,000 households. Procurement of turbines and subcontractors was initiated by Vencom and will continue as part of the joint development, with construction scheduled mainly for 2027 and operation expected in 2028. The facility will connect primarily through an existing power line corridor between Svanabyn and Hoting.
ASKO Fornybar CEO Ronny Johnsrod emphasized a long-term approach with ongoing community engagement, while Vencom Fulmar CEO Jacob Lundqvist highlighted the partnership's role in advancing the project. For Vencom Fulmar, this fully permitted initiative represents a key milestone as their first such development, part of a broader portfolio of 11 projects totaling about 1.4 GW in expected capacity.
