SSE Renewables has started construction of the 50 MW Aberarder Wind Farm based in Strathnairn near Inverness in the Scottish Highlands.
The project will comprise 12 turbines which will be supplied and installed by Vestas. SSE took a final investment decision on Aberarder Wind Farm in May 2024 in a circa GBP 100 million (US$ 127 million) investment and is scheduled for completion in late 2026.
