ScottishPower and Shell have closed the first round of public consultations for a 3 GW MarramWind floating wind farm off the north-east coast of Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK.
The project team expressed gratitude to Aberdeenshire residents for their participation in the consultation process, which included public drop-in events, a virtual exhibition, and live online Q&A sessions. They thanked everyone who contributed in person, in writing, or online.
MarramWind, a joint venture between ScottishPower and Shell, aims to be one of the first commercial-scale floating offshore wind farms in the world. Located 75 km off the north-east coast of Aberdeenshire, it will have a proposed capacity of 3 GW, enough to power over 3.5 million homes.
