Norwegian energy generator Statkraft has signed a solar power purchase agreement (PPA) with Luminous Energy for a 28.5MW Bracon Ash Solar Farm in Norfolk, England.
Luminous Energy has secured fixed power prices for nearly all of Bracon Ash Solar Farm's output through a Contract for Difference (CfD) from Allocation Round 5 and a virtual Corporate PPA with Bristol Airport. This makes Bracon Ash one of the first projects to combine these financial instruments for a single solar farm, ensuring fixed income for most of its output. The CfD covers 6.69 MW at GBP 47 (US$59) per MWh for the 2027/28 financial year, while the 10-year CPPA with Bristol Airport was announced in March 2024.
