Coriolis Energy and ESB have prepared a planning application for the 80MW Foel Fach wind farm comprising 11 turbines with up to 220-m tip heights located near Bala in Gwynedd, UK.
A permit application for the Foel Fach Wind Farm is set for 2025 with Planning and Environment Decisions Wales. If approved, it will aid Wales' goal of net zero by 2050 and meeting 100% of its electricity needs from renewables by 2035. Coriolis and ESB will offer a Community Benefit Fund of £8,000 per MW for the wind farm's operational life. Public consultations will start in autumn 2024, followed by a statutory pre-application consultation in spring 2025, with a planning decision expected in 2026.
