Cobra, a unit of ACS, has entered into an agreement with Brazilian group Bolognesi to acquire and develop a 1,280 MW thermoelectric power plant in the State of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil.
The development of a EUR780 million (US$885.38 million) project awaits the approval from the National Agency of Electric Energy (Aneel). Cobra is planning to transfer the intended location of the project to the State of Ceará.
Goldman Sachs serves as the financial advisor of ACS for the deal.
