The Administrative Council for Economic Defense (CADE) of Brazil has approved the acquisition of up to 420 MW wind portfolio by AES Tiete Energia SA.
The deal covers the sale of 14 special purpose companies (SPEs) that operates wind projects in the municipality of Maracana in the State of Ceara, under the umbrella of Ventos de Santa Tereza Energias Renovaveis SA.
The local firm Salus – Fundo de Investimento em Participacoes Multiestrategia (FIP Salus), a unit of Grupo Araripe, has entered the deal with AES Tiete Energia.
