Aquila Clean Energy has commissioned a 50 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) project in Jaen province in Andalusia, Spain.
The PV farm will generate an annual output of 94 GWh, sufficient to power approximately 24,000 households.
Aquila Clean Energy aims to invest EUR2 billion (2.15 billion dollars) in Andalusia, which will allow it to account for 15% of the 20 GW of renewable energy capacity that the regional government is aiming for. Currently, Aquila Clean Energy operates 180 MW in the region.
