Anglo American to offtake 95 MW of power from 504 MW Rio do Vento wind project in Rio Grande de do Norte

Anglo American mining company has signed an agreement to buy 95 megawatts of wind power from Casa dos Ventos in northeast Brazil, for 20 years, starting in 2022.

The 504 MW Rio do Vento wind project will be responsible for supplying around 30% of all the energy consumed by the mining company's plants in the country.

Once completed, Anglo American will have an option to buy a portion of the wind farm.
