Energia Sustentável do Brasil S.A. (ESBR), a Brazilian special purpose company formed to construct, maintain and operate the Jirau hydroelectric power, has launched a request for proposal for the sale of renewable energy from wind and solar-powered sources, through Paradigma's digital platform.
The energy sold by Energia Sustentável do Brasil comes from its own project, the Jirau Hydroelectric Plant, which has an installed capacity of 3,750 MW with an average 2,211 MW of Physical Guarantee. The for products will be traded by the delivery submarket (SE / CO or NE). The contracted delivery period will be from January 1, 2023, up to December 31, 2037.
ESBR is composed of Engie S.A. (40%), Eletrosul Centrais Elétricas S.A. (20%), Companhia Hidrelétrica do São Francisco S.A. (subsidiary of Eletrobrás) (20%) and Mizha Participações S.A. (20%).
