Pedra do Reino V, a unit of Spanish developer Elawan Energy, is planning to develop a 16 MW wind farm in Bahia, Brazil.
The Bahian municipality of Sobradinho is expected to receive private investments of BRL76 million (US$14.6 million) with the implementation of a wind farm. The protocol of intentions with the company Pedra do Reino V was signed with the State Economic Development Secretariat (SDE), last June 1, 2020. The park will have an installed capacity of 16 MWh/year and should generate around 200 jobs. The wind company intends to start implementing the unit in one year.
