Scout Clean Energy, and its joint venture partner, Elawan Energy, have completed the sale of the 199 MW Persimmon Creek Wind Farm to Evergy, Inc. The wind farm is located in western Oklahoma, USA, and features 80 General Electric turbines spread across 17,000 acres in Dewey, Ellis, and Woodward counties. Persimmon achieved commercial operation in 2018.
Scout counted on legal advice from McDermott Will & Emery LLP, while Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP assisted Evergy in the transaction.
Scout's completed sale of the Persimmon Creek Wind Farm reinforces the company's commitment to expanding renewable energy in the US and contributes to Evergy's service area's renewable energy supply.
