The US Bureau of Ocean Energy Management (BOEM) has completed its environmental analysis of Orsted and PSEG's 1.1 GW Ocean Wind 1 wind project off the coast of New Jersey, USA.
The final Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) details the potential environmental impacts of the project presented in Ocean Wind LLC’s Construction and Operations Plan.
The Ocean Wind 1 project will be located at least 13 nautical miles southeast of Atlantic City, New Jersey. Export cables are anticipated to make landfall in Ocean County and Cape May County, New Jersey. If approved with all 98 wind turbine generators (WTGs) installed, the project will range in capacity from 1,215 MW to 1,440 MW, capable of powering up to 504,000 homes annually.
