Agência Nacional de Energia Elétrica (ANEEL), a Brazilian Electricity Regulatory Agency, has authorized the operation of the 47.2 MW Juazeiro V solar photovoltaic project. The solar farm is located in the municipality of Juazeiro, in the interior of the State of Bahia.
The Juazeiro V is part of the UFV Juazeiro I to IV solar complex, which has been in operation since 2018 and is owned by Atlas Renewable Energy. The new project is an important step in the promotion of solar energy in the northeast region of Brazil.
