The National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) has authorized the start of tests at the 409.3 MW Bracell Thermoelectric Power Plant (UTE Bracell), located in Lencois Paulista, Sao Paulo, Brazil. UTE Bracell is anticipated to become the largest biomass-fired plant in the country.
The tests are expected to end between the months of October and November.
Bracell Thermoelectric Power Plant is comprised of three generating units operating in a cogeneration system, using residues of dissolving pulp production as fuel.
