Amp Energy India has entered into a power purchase agreement (PPA) with Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Ltd (RUMSL) for the 100 MW/140 MWp portion of the floating solar photovoltaic (PV) project at the Omkareshwar reservoir in Madhya Pradesh, India.
The floating solar PV project will be developed in two phases with 300 MW each capacity at pre-identified areas within the water reservoir. The project will be constructed under a 25-year build, own, operate, transfer (BOOT) model.
RUMSL is a joint venture between Solar Energy Corporation of India and Madhya Pradesh Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd.
