The Indian state of Madhya Pradesh plans to host a 1.4 GW solar photovoltaic project in the Morena district with about 70% of the land needed for the PV facility already allocated.
The Rewa district currently has the largest single-site solar power facility in the state, producing about 750 MW of electricity. The Morena district solar farm will be twice as large as the Rewa farm. The planned solar plant will be constructed under the solar park scheme.
Within a year, the project is expected to be operational and capable of producing 1.4 GW of electricity daily.
