GE Renewable Energy’s Hydropower business, part of GE Power India Limited (GEPIL), has commissioned the 180 MW Bajoli Holi Project in India.
The run-of-the-river power facility in Himachal Pradesh was built on the river Ravi, and it features a head race tunnel that is more than 16 kilometers long. It is equipped with three power generating units, each with 60 MW of capacity, and has been generating electricity since it was linked to the grid.
GE was in charge of the engineering and manufacturing supply of the project.
