ACME Group has announced its plans to develop a green hydrogen and green ammonia project in the state of Tamil Nadu, in India. The project entails an investment of INR52,474 crore (US$6.6 billion).
During the Tamil Nadu Investment Conclave, ACME Group and the state government signed the initial agreement. The project will produce green ammonia through the ammonia synthesis loop process with electrolysis-based hydrogen.
Acme will build 5,000 MW of solar PV plant, 1.5 GW of the electrolyzer and 1.1 million tonnes of ammonia synthesis loop. The company is willing to work with the Government to help not only to build the project but also to create an ecosystem of smaller units.
