Bosch Limited, a leading provider of technology and services in the areas of Mobility Solutions, Industrial Technology, Consumer Goods, and Energy and Building Technology in India, has partnered with Amp Energy India for its solar energy requirements. The solar project would have a capacity of 30 MW and would be supplied by Amp Energy India’s open access facility in Mallat Village, Raichur district, Karnataka.
Bosch Limited and Amp Energy India have signed a 25-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) for solar power procurement. This solar open-access facility will generate approximately 43 MUs of green energy per year for Bosch Limited, accounting for approximately 40% of their energy consumption. This project will provide solar power to three Bosch plants/facilities in and around Bangalore, and by switching to solar power, Bosch will help mitigate approximately 31,000 tonnes of CO2 per year.
