Azure Power starts commercial operation of 600 MW solar farm in Rajasthan

Indian solar power producer Azure Power Global Ltd has started the commercial operation of its largest solar photovoltaic project with a generating capacity of 600 MW located in the city of Bikaner in Rajasthan, India. 

The Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI) has awarded the project to Azure Power at a tariff of INR2.53 (US$0.034) per kWh. SECI will purchase the energy produced for over 25 years. 

The project is connected to Interstate Transmission System (ISTS).
