AES Corp completes purchase of Jemeiwaa Kai (JK) wind portfolio from Colwind SA
AES Gener, a unit of AES Corporation, has completed the purchase of Colombia's Jemeiwaa Kai (JK) wind portfolio from Colwind SA for a total investment of US$15 million.
The wind portfolio consists of five wind farms. The assets involved are:
- 99 MW Irraipa wind project in La Guajira
- 75 MW Apotolorru wind project in La Guajira
- 195 MW Carrizal wind project in La Guajira
- 180 MW Casa Eléctrica wind project in Pasto
- Jotomana wind project in La Guajira (in planning)
JK currently has five wind projects in development that add up to 648 MW of capacity in Colombia.
