NHOA Energy has successfully commissioned a 107MWh energy storage project for Taiwan Cement Group (TCC Group) located within the Yingde Plant in Guangdong province, China.
The battery storage initiative incorporates 42 MW of waste-heat-recovery systems alongside 8 MWp of solar capacity. Anticipated to store approximately 46 million MWh of electricity annually, this will yield substantial cost reductions of US$2.91 million. Additionally, the system will double as an emergency power source in case of unexpected blackouts. The system will also support the Guangdong Provincial Government’s energy storage development policy, thus resulting in special subsidies to be granted annually.
