Trina Solar, Aquila sign framework agreement for 800 MW of solar modules for Southern European projects

Trina Solar has forged a framework agreement with Aquila Clean Energy EMEA which involves the supply of 800 MW of photovoltaic modules for a portion of Aquila Clean Energy's portfolio in Southern Europe. The alliance covers several projects that form part of Aquila Clean Energy's portfolio in this region. These initiatives are set to be completed in 2023 and 2024. The cutting-edge module technologies from Trina Solar will be utilized to ensure the success of these projects.

Trina Solar is a market leader in the smart solar energy solutions sector, while Aquila Clean Energy EMEA has significant experience in the development of clean energy projects across Europe. The latest deal will not only contribute significantly to the growth of renewable energy projects in Southern Europe but could also have far-reaching implications in the PV market, especially in large scale utility projects.

Aquila Clean Energy EMEA is currently responsible for managing a portfolio of about 10.3 GW in Europe, which focuses on various energy sources such as wind, solar, and battery storage.
