Lhyfe has announced its plans to build a 70 MW green hydrogen project in Perl, Saarland, Germany. The construction of this new plant is expected to commence in the first half of 2027. Once completed, the plant has the potential to generate up to 30 tons of green hydrogen daily, which will be supplied to the pipeline of the mosaHYc hydrogen island network.

The new plant will incorporate electrolysis technologies to optimize the process of feeding electricity from renewable sources into the facility. Lhyfe will utilize smart software to enable greater flexibility and precision in electrolysis operations. Furthermore, the existing pipeline system within the surrounding regions of Völkingen and Carling, France, as well as Bouzonville and Perl, Germany, will be evaluated for its suitability as a hydrogen pipeline. The construction of new pipelines is also under consideration, specifically from Bouzonville in the direction of Dillingen.

However, the commencement of this project is subject to approval from the authorities responsible for issuing operating authorizations, construction permits, and financial investment decisions.
