Lhyfe has announced a partnership with Tegera Solutions to build a 5 MW renewable hydrogen production site in the northwest of France. The project called Hy’Touraine will be constructed near Isoparc, Sorigny, and will use renewable energy from SEIL and its energy firm EnER Centre Val de Loire. The production capacity is expected to be around 2 tonnes/day, and the site will be supported with a EUR3.4 million (US$3.7 million) ADAME grant for infrastructure development. The hydrogen produced at the site will be utilized to meet industrial and mobility needs through two hydrogen refueling stations.
France has huge ambitions to reach a 6.5 GW electrolyzer capacity by 2030 as per its hydrogen strategy. The Hy’Touraine will generate green hydrogen sourced from renewable energy, which is essential to reduce the carbon footprint.
Lhyfe, based in Pays de la Loire, designs, builds, and operates industrial facilities for hydrogen generation.
