HH2E and Foresight Group have announced financing the 100 MW development phase of the green hydrogen production site located in Lubmin, Germany.
The initial phase will be capable of producing approximately 6,000 tons (over 200,000 MWh) of green hydrogen per year during the initial 100 MW phase. This phase will also include high-capacity storage for batteries and electrolysis. Subsequent expansion phases are expected to increase capacity to over 1 GW, with annual production exceeding 60,000 tonnes of green hydrogen.
The facility will be built and operated by HH2E through a local company, HH2E Werk Lubmin GmbH. The plant will serve green hydrogen customers and off-takers, including large-scale users from the energy and industrial sectors such as the chemical industry, as well as commercial air and road transport operators. MET Group, an integrated European energy company with activities in natural gas and electricity, will maintain its cooperation with HH2E and focus on increasing the sale of green hydrogen produced by HH2E both in Lubmin and in other plants in Germany to facilitate.
